Nancy Corrigan, MA, is a seasoned artist/art facilitator based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
since 1978.
Main community areas: Staff artist on the wards for the University of Alberta Hospital from 1999-2017 sponsored by transplant, including the creation of programs, interviewing volunteer artists, University of Alberta Hospital, psychiatry, geriatrics, pulmonary, cardiology, general internal medicine, drop-in sessions, McMullen Art Gallery, Body Mapping, Sculpture at Cross Cancer Hospital for Spiritual and Psycho Services. Gallery of Alberta/City of Edmonton art classes for all ages, The Works International Visual Arts Festival Sculpture Zoo, Roster for
Alberta Artists in the Schools, etc.
Corrigan thrives on public engagement in art in the moment, animating audiences by introducing art-a-cises to warm up the session. Integrating drawing/painting/and playing on words toward a mixed media piece where the audience is engaged in discussing everyday experiences and has the experience of the creative process.
She was awarded her MA in Expressive Art Therapy in 2020, coaching and consulting in art, health, and
society. Some of her paintings are also now transferred from her paintings printed on fabric, such
as scarves.

How it all began
When I was 5 years old, I stood in front of the painting easel watching the colours fall down the page and shape into something new. I remember that like yesterday!
It feels like a metaphor for the way life is and the changes it brings.
I love this place we live in! And I delight in how we light each other up when in moments something touches us and brings new energy.
In my seasoned years, I see variety as the spice of life, and that it’s in our senses: in how we perceive ourselves, what surrounds us, and what’s within ourselves.
If we just let go, like a pirouette in ballet, we can spin, and in a moment, everything can change. We can dance with the way of life.
