She mentored me as well as an artist on the ward volunteer at the University of Alberta Hospital as well.

I felt compelled for Nancy’s support

After reviewing Nancy’s thesis, “A Phenomenological Inquiry into the Sensing of Beauty”(2020), I felt compelled to ask her for support in my less formal project called “Between the Lines: Merging Portraits
and Stories of Older Adults”. I knew from my nursing and art experience that this was the best approach to facilitate authentic experiences from my sitters.
